Kejian Yang, Ph.D.Professional Summary:Dr. Yang is Vice President of Virology and Vaccine at BRM with 20 years of experience in molecular virology, immunology and vaccinology. He specialized in animal models for viral pathogenesis research and vaccine development against a series of human viral diseases, such as various hepatitis viruses, Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV-2), measles virus, Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), influenza virus, rotavirus, Yellow fever virus, Dengue virus, Lymphocytic Choriomeningitis Virus (LCMV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). He has been the Principal Investigator on three Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded research grants and one phase-2 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant funded by National Institutes of Health (NIH) for developing mucosal vaccination strategies. Prior to BRM he was Research Director at the Oral Vaccine Institute and worked at Hybridon Inc. He received his Ph.D. in Microbiology from Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine,China.
