Nude Rats - WAG rnu/rnu ratsBRM produces the WAG rnu/rnu rats in virus-antibody free (VAF) facilities. The WAG rnu/rnu rats are phenotypically hairless with possible fine-sparse hair growth. General usage for the model is immunology-based research. Transplant adoption studies have used these WAG rnu/rnu models. At that time, there was still heterozygosity in the RT7 locus. WAG rnu/rnu rats were bred by the Diabetes Division of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. First nude rats (3 male and 4 female) provided by Dennis Guberski to Barbara Whalen June 1995. |
