6. Design and perform experiments to test efficacy of client’s compounds in ameliorating the symptoms of diabetes induced by viruses.
7. Attenuated virus vectored vaccine validation studies.
8. Full necropsy including blood chemistry profiles, sectioning and H&E staining of chosen organs.

BRM employs fully trained virologists to design and implement a variety of experiments for your in vivo animal studies.

All experiments are performed with biosafety level 2 (BSL 2) practices and animals are housed in individual isolators to prevent cross contamination of pathogens.

We are experts on virus-induced models of diabetes.

Dennis Guberski, the president and cofounder of the company, was one of the first investigators to describe and characterize the induction of diabetes by the rat parvovirus, Kilham’s Rat Virus (KRV).

In addition, BRM has developed an exciting new model of diabetes induction after infection with rat cytomegalovirus (RCMV).
